Blog Bench
The bench has a simple function as a piece of street furniture, for rest in the urban environment.
It uses the space under trees to provide shade and a comfortable place to rest.
A circular light is integrated below the seat to give a nice play of light/shadow together with the perforations of the seat.
A further evolution of the idea was to have the light, powered by LED's, change colour according to the moods of people in the neighborhood. This would be made posible using software such as www.wefeelfine.org which can monitor human emotions in a specific geographic location, based on their blog posts.
The benches of the city space would then always light up in different colours depending of the mood of the citizens.
